The location was insane, like being in a jungle movie. We did some epic ecotours and even went skydiving nearby. The pool was sick, with a sick view. The breakfast each morning was delicious and our host, Anje, was super cool and helpful.

The only thing I wish was better for us party animals was that there could have been more nightlife options nearby. But hey, we still had a blast!

The hotel's decoration and general areas were absolutely charming. I loved the rustic and natural feel of the huts, made with wood brought in from Bali. It created such a unique and cozy atmosphere. The large windows in the room allowed me to enjoy stunning views of the rainforest without even getting out of bed. As a senior person, I also appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible and had no stairs or difficult paths to navigate.

The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is a bit more assistance from the children working there. While the overall service was fantastic, sometimes it would have been helpful to have a helping hand with carrying my luggage or finding my way around.

The breakfast was like tasting the entire region in my mouth. I had to cycle and hike to burn it off. The weather kept changing every day just to keep things interesting.

Too bad there were no walking distance restaurants nearby. I guess the rainforest doesn't have Uber Eats yet.

A Taste of the Tropics: The tropical breakfasts at this unique property were a delightful way to start the day. The seasonal and tropical fruits provided a refreshing and exotic experience, as if I had been transported to a tropical paradise.

Lack of Window Coverings: The only minor issue I encountered during my stay was the absence of window coverings at night. Although the room faced the rainforest, it would have been more comfortable to have some privacy and control over the lighting in the room.

I absolutely adored the beautiful decoration of the hotel. The warm colors and cozy furnishings made me feel right at home. The general areas were so inviting, especially the terrace where I could enjoy a cool glass of wine while taking in the stunning views of the rainforest. The hotel was also incredibly accessible for senior people like myself, with ramps and handrails making it easy to navigate around the property. It was such a relief to know that my comfort and safety were taken into consideration.

If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be to have larger signs and clearer directions around the hotel. Sometimes I found it a bit confusing to navigate my way around the property, and I think having better signage would have been helpful.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cairns Rainforest Retreat in Cairns for a business trip. The hotel was chosen by my director, and I must say it was a fantastic choice. The retreat offers a range of luxurious amenities that truly enhance the overall experience. One of the highlights was the facial treatment which included a back steam cleanse, exfoliation, and massage. It was a rejuvenating experience that alleviated the stress that showed on my face. Additionally, the intense pressure-point massage for my lower legs and feet left me feeling refreshed and invigorated. The outdoor swimming pool at Rainforest Retreat was also delightful, providing a serene environment to relax and unwind.

    No issues.

The room at Cairns Rainforest Retreat was absolutely amazing! It felt like a cozy sanctuary with its private indoor hot tub and luxurious bedding. I couldn't resist indulging in a relaxing soak and sinking into the softest sheets. It was pure bliss!

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of balconies, so having one in my room was a bit underwhelming. But hey, I understand that some people enjoy it, so it's just my personal preference.

We stayed at the Retreat for three nights. It was a spectacular experience: a real tree house in the rainforest with a luxury feel. The hosts Antje and Ben did everything to make us feel welcome and make our stay special and romantic. We enjoyed the swimming pool, the jacuzzi bath, and the privacy of the property. Most enjoyable was the surrounding rainforest and nature. We also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast which was of great quality. Loved the small touches like L’Occitaine toiletries, the comfortable bed, and the quality of the linen. Thank you Antje, Ben, and Antje’s mum for a memorable stay.

    Do recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay during Christmas at this rainforest retreat. The breakfast options were wonderful, with a variety of fresh fruits that were delicious. The location was key, surrounded by lush rainforest and offering a serene and peaceful environment. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Plus, the private rooms and property provided a luxurious and relaxing experience.

There were a couple of minor downsides during our stay. The occasional presence of mosquitoes, spiders, and bugs in the room might bother some guests.
